Theophostic prayer ministry shines God’s (Theo) light (phos) on the emotional pains and hurts of our life, so that God can bring freedom and truth which relieves our pain. It brings life transformation through the renewal of the mind. (Romans 12:2). Our mind is structured in such a way that whenever we encounter a stressful situation, we default to the past experiential part of our mind instead of the intelligent, logical part of our mind. This causes us to react out of our past pain instead of God’s present truth. Theophostic prayer ministry helps the person receive God's truth, which relieves the emotional pain.

A Theophostic prayer ministry session at Serenity Retreat involves a facilitator (a prayer minister), an intercessor (a prayer minister), and a prayer receiver (you). The facilitator interacts with you to encourage you to be in a position for God to bring freedom and truth. The intercessor quietly prays for both the facilitator and the prayer receiver during the session. An average prayer session will last about one to one and a half hours.
