About the Staff

Rev. Kathryn Allen Easonis the founder of Serenity Retreat. An ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, she earned a Master of Divinity from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University. Kathy feels her specific calling is to bring renewal and awareness to the church about God's healing power through Jesus Christ. She is trained in Advanced Theophostic™ Prayer Ministry, and is a member of the International Association of Theophostic™ Ministers. She is trained in Christian Healing Ministries of Jacksonville, Florida, served as a Stephen Leader and Stephen Minister, and as a Lay Chaplain at Texas Children's Hospital. She grew up in Houston and received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. Kathy and her husband have two grown children. |

Anna Marionhas a heart to serve the ministry and move it successfully into the future. With a specialty in media and communication, having served First Presbyterian, Houston for many years, her expertise helps Serenity Retreat grow. Anna is an ordained Elder in the PC(USA), is a member of the International Association of Theophostic™ Ministers, is trained in Theophostic™ Prayer Ministry and believes it is an effective way of helping people get to know the Lord better, and of helping them get free from their pain. A native Houstonian, Anna is a graduate of Aldine High School and earned a BFA in Radio, Television and Film from Sam Houston State University. Anna has two teenage daughters. |

Melinda Roweis a high energy, caring professional who coordinates all of Serenity Retreat's 1,200 annual appointments, and maintains the ministry's financial records. She has a vibrant, trusting faith, and will always pray with you if you need it! Melinda is involved in Foundry UMC and does mission work. In the summer of 2010 she spent time sharing the Gospel and working in Costa Rica. |
